Today I would like to write on Joy. First let’s establish the meaning of joy. Joy is not laughter, I want to make that clear, it’s not excitement.
You can have joy even when some terrible “tragedy” has happened. I was talking with a friend of mine, a few years back, when something had happened to her Grandmother recently. She was feeling very hurt, and unsure. And I was trying to explain, how everything is for God’s purpose, and turns out for good. I told her about how joy, peace, and hope (hope of things not yet seen) were all in similar categories. Thankfully it eased her mind. Joy is a sense of contentment.
Now who can even earn/gain joy? Only believers in Christ can have true joy.
Here is a verse on joy I would like to share with you:
“You have made known to me the path of life, you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm16:11
